40 Total Hours (Minimum)

10 hrs Solo Flight Time

  • 5 hrs of Cross-Country
  • 1 Solo Cross-Country
    • 150 nm minimum distance
    • 3 Full-Stop Landings
    • 1 leg greater than 50 nm
  • 3 hrs of instrument training
  • 3 T/O’s and LND’s at towered airport

20 hrs Dual Instruction with CFI

  • 3 hrs of Cross-Country
  • 3 hrs of Night Flight Training
    • 1 Cross-Country > 100 nm total distance
    • 10 Takeoffs and Landings to a Full Stop
  • 3 hrs of instrument training
  • 3 hrs flight training for checkride prep

Additional Requirements

  • Minimum age: 17
  • English Proficiency
  • 3rd Class Medical Certificate
  • Pass FAA Knowledge Test
  • Pass FAA Practical Tests
    • Oral
