Instrument Rating Program
FAA Requirements (FAR §61.65)
One IFR Cross-Country
– At least 250nm total distance.
– Along airways or ATC-directed routing.
– At least three different instrument approaches.
– Landing at three different airports.
40 Hours Actual or Simulated Instrument
At least 15 hours must be dual training with a CFII.
50 Hours Cross-Country PIC
Must include 10 hours in airplanes.
